Ninety minutes was not enough time to declare a winner tonight in the women’s soccer game at the Lipscomb Soccer Complex.
The game was scoreless for the first 90 minutes as the offense seemed to be lacking for both teams. After no goals were tallied in the first overtime period the game went on to yet another 10 minutes of play.
All 10 minutes would not be necessary however. A mere 22 seconds into the second overtime UT-Martin got on the board after a scramble in the 18-yard box. The goal was scored by Abi Sanvee, her first of the season.
The Lady Bisons tallied 10 shots, five on goal. UT-Martin also had five shots on goal for a total of 18.
Lipscomb, 1-2, plays host to Jackson State Sunday at 2 p.m.
