Thursday, June 17

8 – 9 a.m.                  Music Theory Placement Test & Auditions for A Cappella  & University Singers – The test is in room 142 of the McMeen Music Center; for auditions meet in the lobby of the Music Center.

8 – 9 a.m.                  Students check in at the residence halls (women in Elam Hall; men in High Rise)

8:15 a.m.                  Coffee and Pastries – Bennett Campus Center Lobby

8:30 a.m.                  Advance Registration and Campus Tours – depart from Campus Center Lobby

9:30 a.m.                  Welcome to Lipscomb – Dr. Randy Lowry, President, Lipscomb University

9:40 a.m.                  Getting to Know You and Lunch with the Quest Team

12:00 p.m.                Campus Life – Dr. Scott McDowell, Vice President for Student Development

12:50 p.m.                Myers-Briggs Test – Dave Morgan, Director of Testing

1:50 p.m.                  College Meetings (meet with your area of interest):

College of Arts & Sciences – Dr. Norma Burgess, Dean

College of Bible & Ministry – Dr. Terry Briley, Dean

College of Business – Mr. Turney Stevens, Dean

College of Education – Dr. Candice McQueen, Dean

Undecided Students – may choose a College Meeting listed above or meet in MS 219 with Mr. Rob Mossack, Director of Academic Advising and Support Services.

2:55 p.m.                  Pick up your Advising Appointment and Catalog in the Campus Center lobby, then take a Break in the Campus Center or Bison Square.  (If you are considering changing your major/area of interest please stop by the Academic Advising table in the Campus Center lobby.)

3:20 p.m.                  Academic Life – Teresa Williams, Director of Student Advocacy and Christin Shatzer,  Director of Service Learning

4:00 p.m.                 Members of the Quest Team will help you complete a trial class schedule

5:15 p.m.                  Dinner – The Bison Café, upstairs in the Campus Center

6:30 p.m. The Quest Team’s Inside Guide to Life at Lipscomb!

7:35 p.m.                 Small Group Sessions with your Quest Team leaders – locations posted at ADVANCE CENTRAL

8:15 p.m.                 Devotional – Allen Bell Tower, Campus Center

9:00 p.m. Nocturnal Madness (more fun than you can possibly imagine!)

10:50 p.m.               Hanging Out w/the Quest Team

12:00 a.m.               Curfew (Please be in your residence hall at midnight.)

Friday, June 18

7:15-9:00 a.m.                  Continental Breakfast –- The Bison Café – (Students in the University Honors Program & their parents are invited to eat breakfast at 7:30 a.m. on the Bison Café porch with Dr.Paul Prill, Director of the Honors Program.)

8 a.m. – Noon                    Academic Advising Appointments in the Advisors’ Offices followed by Class Registration in the Computer Center – (We can only accommodate students and registration personnel.)

9 a.m. – Noon                     Resource Fair – Campus Center … visit the bookstore, browse info booths hosted by various campus services and area banks, complete an evaluation form, and pick up your Lipscomb T-shirt.  If you haven’t already done so, please visit the Security and Safety Office in Elam Hall B223 to get your ID picture made and pick up your parking sticker (enter Elam via the right rear door).

9:45 a.m.                             Lipscomb Security and Safety – Kathy Hargis, Director of Risk Management; and BradWyatt, Director of Campus Security and Safety

10:00 a.m.                         Residence Hall Checkout (Please return your key & pick up your deposit before 10 a.m. We will be glad to store your belongings adjacent to the lobby area until you leave campus.)

1:00 p.m.                            Information Technology Proficiency Test (optional) – Computer Center 141-143

Your nametag contains an abbreviated schedule, 3 meal tickets, and a special Starbucks coupon!

ADVANCE CENTRAL will be open on Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and

on Friday from 8:30 a.m. to noon in the Bennett Campus Center Lobby.

You will receive an official schedule on Thursday at Advance Registration.
