After breaking out to a 3-0 lead early on at Lindsey Nelson Stadium in Knoxville, the Bisons lost the lead in the bottom of the second. The Vols would never look back after that.Kyle Henry and Corey Hale each homered in the game. It was Hale’s ninth of the season.
Tyler Wislon and Brett Teschner each had two hits on the day for Lipscomb, leading the team.
Wilson also had two RBIs and a stolen base. Wilson has 25 stolen bases on the year.
Pitcher Matt Bowling got the decision last night in 4 innings of work. Bowling would give up seven hits and six runs in the losing effort.

The Bisons are back home this weekend for their biggest Atlantic Sun challenge of the season when Florida Gulf Coast visits Ken Dugan Field at Stephen L. Marsh Stadium. Friday at 6 p.m. Lipscomb’s Josh Smith will face FGCU left-hander Chris Sale, one of the most scouted players in all of college baseball.
Sale was the MVP of the Cape Cod summer league last year. Six out of the seven MVP’s have been selected in the top 15 in the following years draft.
With Smith having a great year for Lipscomb, this should be one of the better games this year. Be sure to come out and support your Bisons.
