The Lipscomb men’s basketball team goes for its third win in four outings Monday at 6 p.m. central against Florida Gulf Coast in Ft. Myers, Fla.
Lipscomb is coming off a 99-91 win Saturday at Stetson in the Bison’s first game since senior all-conference guard Jordan Burgason was dismissed from the team. The Bison rallied together with three players making their scoring high in a Lipscomb uniform: junior Deonte Alexander (27), freshman Marvin Williams (16), and redshirt freshman Damarius Smith (14).
Florida Gulf Coast defeated Lipscomb 84-80 in overtime in Allen Arena on Jan. 14. The Eagles led 53-40 on the boards. Burgason led the Bison with 18 points while senior Jacob Arnett contributed 16 tallies.
Lipscomb leads the all-time series 6-2 and has won three of the four meetings at Alico Arena.
