Immigration will be the topic of discussion when Gov. Bill Haslam addresses The Tennessee Latin American Chamber of Commerce (TLACC) on Wednesday, March 6, as part of Tennessee’s Partnership for a New American Economy.
That partnership is designed to bring together leaders from all political and economic sectors nationwide to raise awareness of what it sees as the economic benefits of sensible immigration reform.
Immigration reform is — along with education and gun laws — one of the most discussed topics from both sides of the political aisle.
And Haslam has weighed in on the subject before.
In a recent interview with POLITICO’s Jonathan Martin, Haslam addressed a variety of topics, including the debate over immigration reform. He said he would like to see a comprehensive immigration reform bill enacted.
The event will take place in Ezell 301 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost to attend is $35 for non-TLACC members.
