The Lady Bisons defeated Jackson State 72-45 last night in Allen Arena.
Senior guard Sara Bliss led the way for Lipscomb, scoring 17 points. Freshman guard Amber Fuqua added a career-best — eight points and four rebounds. Freshman forward Riley Northway grabbed a career-high with five rebounds. Freshman guard Emily Eubank added a career-high with four steals.
The victory broke a three-game losing streak for the Lady Bisons at home. Jackson State’s 45 points was the second-lowest point total this season. Lipscomb shot 44.6% from the field. Jackson State was held to 22.2% from field goals.
The Lady Bisons improved to an overall record of 3-6. Lipscomb’s next matchup will be against Tennessee Tech on Dec. 18. The game will tip off at 6:30 p.m. in Allen Arena.
