This evenings much anticipated match against Western Kentucky went down to a final call in the third set before the Lady Bisons lost 3-0.During the first set the Lady Bisons had trouble blocking Western Kentucky’s kills, and didn’t seem to have an answer for them otherwise.

After falling behind early the Lady Bisons lost 14-25 in the first set.

The score of the second set isn’t much different, but the Lady Bisons played with more enthusiasm, keeping the game close before losing 15-25.

In the first two sets coach Brandon Rosenthal had Abby Fay, a red shirt senior, at libero; in the third set he moved freshman Megan Stout into libero in order to let Fay help current A-Sun player of the week, Katie Rose and senior Char Ursell on the frontline.

The Lady Bisons went into the third set with clear heads that helped them get a 10-5 lead midway through the set.

After Western Kentucky tied it up at 12-12 the Lady Bisons were unable to recover and lost the set 20-25 on a call where it was uncertain whether or not the ball was tipped out of bounds.

The Lady Bisons will be traveling to Notre Dame this weekend for an Invitational before returning to Allen Arena next Wednesday at 6:30 for a match against Austin Peay.
