Both the Bisons and Lady Bisons were successful this weekend in their respective games.Volleyball started off the weekend winning the Gamecock Invitational at South Carolina. The Lady Bisons went 3-0, beating Furman, SC State, and the University of South Carolina.
Alex Kelly was named tournament MVP, while Kaycee Greene and Jake Pease were awarded places on the all-tournament team.
The Lady Bisons will play Belmont on Tuesday at 5 p.m. at The Curb Event Center. Lipscomb will then travel to St. Louis for the Billiken Invitational.
Men’s Cross Country took home third place this weekend in Vermont. The women’s team finished second.
The teams’ next meet is next Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Vanderbilt Invitational.
Women’s soccer went 1-1 this weekend losing to South Carolina State on Friday and beating The Citadel on Sunday. Freshman Tatjana Shirley scored two goals for the Lady Bisons en route to their 3-0 win.
The Lady Bisons play at home on Friday and Sunday at 5 p.m. and 4 p.m. respectively.
The men’s soccer team went 2-0 this weekend beating Gardner-Webb and Centenary. Both finals were 3-1.
Miguel DaSilva, Garret Pettis, and Joey Chiappetta were awarded spots on the Belmont Invitational all-tournament team.
DaSilva scored two goals this weekend. Garret Pettis, Andrew Chamberlain and Josh Kolbo also registered goals this weekend.
The Bisons play at home on Friday and Saturday as well at 7 p.m. and 4 p.m. respectively.
