Cyntoia Brown received a life sentence at age 16 for murder. She is now a student in the LIFE (Lipscomb Initiative for Education) program at the Tennessee Prison for Women. At 8:00 p.m. in Shamblin, Lipscomb’s HumanDocs film series will show Me Facing Life: Cyntoia’s Story, a look at both Cyntoia’s life and complicated issues of Tennessee justice. Guests include USC filmmaker Daniel Burman and Cyntoia’s adoptive mom.
