NASHVILLE (Nov. 30, 2010) – A little rain won’t stop Lipscomb University from celebrating the start of the 2010 Christmas season in style.
The sixth annual Lighting of the Green, Tuesday, Nov. 30, will be held entirely inside Allen Arena due to inclement weather. All of the traditional activities – free cookies, free photos with Santa, the Merry Marketplace and 5:30 p.m. concert hosted by Amy Grant — will continue, but they will all be held inside Allen Arena.
Shuttles from the parking lot at the Stokes School property on Belmont Boulevard will be available to transport guests to the arena. We encourage you to come out and enjoy the festivities despite the rain and begin a season of wonder at Lipscomb University.
Lighting of the Green Schedule
All activities will now be held in Allen Arena.
- The Merry Marketplace, featuring vendors of holiday gifts and more, 1-8 p.m.;
- Free photos with Santa Claus, 3:30 p.m.-7 p.m.;
- Williamsburg Village with free cookies and hot chocolate, beginning at 4:30 p.m.; and
- Lighting of the Green concert featuring Amy Grant, 5:30 p.m.
